BPBD Holds Disaster Preparedness Day in Kota Tua

The Jakarta Regional Disaster Mitigation Agency (BPBD), held a commemoration of Disaster Preparedness Day in the courtyard of the Fatahillah Building History Museum, Kota Tua area, Taman Sari, West Jakarta, Friday (4/26).

Jakarta BPBD's Disaster Information Center Head, Mohammad Yohan said the commemoration of Disaster Preparedness Day shows the community's preparedness in facing disasters.
"This is in the context of community preparedness in facing disasters such as fires, earthquakes, floods, and so on," he expressed.
Munjirin: Apparatuses Must Increase Performance and ServiceHe explained the activity was attended by 500 participants consisting of Jakarta BPBD, National SAR Agency, Polairud Corps, Disaster Management Squad, Fire and Rescue Agency (Gulkarmat), Tagana, Mobile Brigade Corps, students, and volunteers from various elements of society.
The material was filled with evacuation simulations, as well as providing quick assistance to victims when a disaster occurs.
"We also hold education to the community about preparedness when a disaster occurs," he added.
The Disaster Preparedness Day event received appreciation from the Kota Tua UPK Acting Head, Irfal Guci.
"This is also a momentum for Kota Tua UPK's preparedness in facing any disaster," he stated.
